Kaunertal Glacier & Fendels
Winter in the Kaunertal
Winter in the Kaunertal offers more than just simply a skiing holiday. It’s an invitation to experience nature with intention, to savour each moment – and to embrace winter in all its facets. As the first snow blankets the valley in a shimmering winter wonderland, the most exciting time of the year begins in the Kaunertal.
Surrounding the Feichtnerhof and the Kaunertal Glacier, an impressive blend of sport, nature and alpine lifestyle awaits – authentic, enjoyable and brimming with possibilities.

Fun in the snow guaranteed
Skiing & snowboarding
The Kaunertal Glacier ski resort and the Fendels family ski resort provide excellent conditions for skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts. Wide slopes, modern cable cars and lifts and reliable snow conditions lasting into spring make this region a genuine insider’s tip. And best of all, the free Feichten–Kaunertal Glacier ski bus stops right outside the Feichtnerhof, providing you with a comfortable and convenient way to reach the ski resort.

Our tip: The Feichten village lift on the Easpenhang ski slope is ideal for young ski enthusiasts and is just a short walk from the hotel.
Freeriding & ski touring
Untouched slopes, vast expanses of snow and tranquil mountain landscapes – the Kaunertal is a true paradise for freeriders and ski tourers. Away from the signposted ski runs, you’ll discover enchanting powder-snow routes set within high alpine natural landscapes that promise true adventure. Guided tours with experienced guides guarantee safety and unforgettable experiences.

Glide through the nature park
Cross-country skiing in the Kaunertal
Those who prefer to enjoy winter in peace and quiet will find ideal conditions on the perfectly groomed cross-country ski trails around Feichten. Whether you prefer classic or skating technique, the cross-country trails wind through a magical winter landscape – past frozen streams and snow-laden forests – leading straight into the heart of the Naturpark Kaunergrat. And best of all: they are within walking distance of the Feichtnerhof.
