A year-round holiday of a truly special kind

The Kaunertal in Tirol

Few Alpine valleys have retained their natural character as impressively as the Kaunertal. Even in Tirol, a region renowned for its breathtaking diversity, the Kaunertal stands apart – authentic, unspoilt and profoundly pure.

Time seems to slow here – not from stillness, but from reverence. In the Kaunertal, each moment stretches gently toward the unspoilt, powerful presence of nature. A large part of the valley has been designated as the Naturpark Kaunergrat – a sanctuary for protected rare species and a haven for those seeking authenticity.

And this authenticity reveals itself everywhere here. In winter, the Kaunertal Glacier transforms into a snow-sure paradise for skiing and snowboarding – open from October to May. And in summer, the Kaunertal reveals a different side – with countless hiking and biking routes, cycle paths and bike trails.

Spring & autumn

Between summer in the mountains
and winter delights

A DAY
at the Feichtnerhof

Good morning to the majestic mountains.

We begin the day with a wholesome breakfast full of delicious treats.

An active start to the day

The Kaunertal Glacier, rising to 3,113 metres, awaits. Guaranteed snow from October to May ensures skiing enjoyment from autumn through to spring.

Stopping by and savouring specialities

We delight in sampling Tirolean delicacies in the mountain restaurant, taking in the magnificent view before returning to the hotel.

Taking an e-bike tour

We hire an e-bike directly  from the hotel and set off to explore the valley along one of its countless scenic bike trails.

Relaxing in the spa area

After enjoying an active day, we unwind in the hotel’s spa area and look forward to a well-earned dinner.

Evening indulgence

We relish the five-course evening menu, then round off the night with a drink at the cosy bar.

Spring and autumn are particularly special in the Kaunertal, as the valley reveals its full diversity and range of possibilities. While the glacier offers perfect pistes, the lower valley is ideal for biking and hiking. And here it becomes clear: opposites do not cancel each other out – they complement and enrich one another.
